Administrative Hearing Officer The Office of the Chief Administrative
Hearing Officer (OCAHO), (United States Department of
Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review)
supervises and manages the Administrative Law Judges who
hear cases and adjudicate issues arising under the
provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952
(INA) that was amended by the Immigration Reform and
Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) and the Immigration Act of
1990 among others. The OCAHO has jurisdiction over cases
relating to unlawful hiring, recruiting or continued
employment of unauthorized aliens; failure to comply with
employment verification requirements; immigration
document fraud; and immigration-related unfair employment
practices.
